[[http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0684500/|Dominique Pinon]] is funny and lovable, a perfect match for [[http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0235342/|Marie-Laure Dougnac]].  The rest of the cast are amazing.  The film has the same dark feel as City of Lost Children and Brazil, but not as fatalistic.  It is not as easy to fall in love with as Amélie, but most of the scenes are a perfect 10 for dark humor. |

It is really not worth taking a film seriously if its topic is as fucking ridiculous as demons and exorcism. The film is not as fun or punchy or as raunchy as it could have been, but the bondage and comic S&M scenes make up for it. |

The women and snakes are the purpose of the film.  The men really only serve as plot devices to bridge sexual escapades and to languidly kill off the heroines of the film. Released in 1980 the film displays a sexual freedom, eloquent tension, and brutal honesty that is rarely seen in more recent pictures. |
